Trick or treat...

Here are some token pictures from Halloween and the morning after. I always loved dumping all my candy out, sorting it and trading pieces with my siblings. My kids are now doing the same thing. They all enjoyed trick-or-treating this year and the weather was really nice for a night of being outdoors in Michigan. This was the first time that Wyndham has shown any interest in dressing up and going out with the kids door to door. She saw their excitement and watched them getting their costumes ready and then she went and got her own shoes and candy bucket. It was the highlight of my day to watch her growing excitement for once.
They did wear shoes too...I just took their picture outside just before they ate dinner. As for Crew and his first Halloween, he was along for the ride in the baby carrier as I passed out candy with my neighbors. We gather in one driveway with a firepit blazing and talk and enjoy the trick-or-treaters all together while the dads all take the kids out on a trailer pulled by a 4-wheeler.
Good memories and lots of fun for the kids.
I happen to like Almond Joys the best...what's your favorite treat?

The kids all look so cute! (You do, too, by the way...) It warms my heart that Wyndham wanted to go; you've mentioned so much lately about her growing interests and it thrills me for you all that she is getting to show so much of herself to others. What a gift she is.

I also noticed people gave regular sized candy bars... I want to trick-or-treat in your neighborhood! :)

I can't stand Almond Joy, but give me a Snickers, Kit Kat or Whatchamacallit and I'm a happy girl. Top it off with banana laffy taffy... [can you tell I started eating the candy before the trick-or-treaters hit my door?]

So cute! I love tootsie rolls! I've been stealing them from my niece and my cousins girlfriends kids baskets, lol. I'm out of state visiting them all, and I stayed in to hand out candy so the grandparents could enjoy seeing their grand-daughter trick or treat for the first time!

So glad Wyndham enjoyed herself! We attempted to dress up my 5pd niece, and found it easier to find costumes for a dog than a Preemie. Go figure.

Cute costumes. :)

We gave out 13 bags of candy in less than one hour....I was totally shocked at how many kids my mom has by her house.

My favorite candy is Reese's Peanut Butter cups...or Bottlecaps. YUM!!!

Somehow we only came home with 1 Almond Joy. But I like Milky Way or 3 Muskateers.

I found your blog from MCK site. Wow what God had carried you through... wow!! Your children are lovely and your new baby adorable. I'm sure that your son is enjoying another boy in the house from the looks of all the girls!!
Your blog caught my attention, because I live in Michigan too.. the Niles area to be exact. I have friends that went to Bethel. Anyway, I'm rambling... I'll be back to check out your blog again!

Oh... I like peanut butter M&Ms

Right now heath bars are my favorite. The next candy bar is a mars bar.
Yum!
The butterfly wings were gorgeous.
So glad your Wyndham is progressing and continuing in her developing. Praying God's blessings on her life.
Have a great weekend.

Such a sweet and precious family! How wonderful for Wyndham and for you to see such growth in her. I am a milk duds or whoppers or milky way girl myself. Thanks for sharing!

Let's see, if you were to watch me when noone was looking, you'd think they were all my favorite!! YIKES!! If I HAVE to pick one, it would be snickers bites followed closely by twizzlers and Almond Joys. But that's if I can only pick one. heehee

When I get my choice it has always been Reeces, pieces, cups dark, I don't care as long as there is peanut butter in there some where. But I do like Almond joy when I want something different.

The day before Halloween I had allergy testing done - part of a workup trying to figure out the Why of my migraines and this was a request of mine. Found out I'm allergic to chocolate (the horror!) and it's possibly been triggering headaches. So my favorite has always been Reese's PB cups (man I love those eggs at Easter mmmm) but now I'm at a loss. Still trying to find something just as good that doesn't have chocolate.

Banana Laffy Taffy! This may be the last Halloween for my baby (10 years old) to dress up. He did it for me for the church festival, but said "this is the last time MOM!". When mine were babies, I coordinated them.. one year we had
Cruella Deville and a dalmation puppy, Dorothy and a little lion, cheerleader and football player, gypsy and cowboy. Love my memories and pictures!

Heath/Skor bars are my favs. But, I'm also a Reese Cup gal.

I'm so glad to see you're having time to scrap. It's great to see your family adjusting to the new baby and Wyndham growing so much! I'm so glad that her last scare seems to be further and further behind you. Praise the Lord!

Blessings,
