The truth behind our trip so far...

What we've been doing the past few days...
* Trip to IKEA...Can you believe I only spent $11.00 there?! I was having too much fun to shop.
* Jumping
* Enjoying the summer heat
* Playing outdoors
* Having a great time with grandparents and cousins
* Relaxing in the shade
Not pictured...
Eating too much, not getting enough sleep, laughing and goofing off and basically staying just enough off-schedule that the kids are enjoying every minute...but the mom {that would be me} is getting worn out. And that is the real reason why I don't travel with my kids more often.

Ok, I've been a "lurker" on your blog for quite some time and you have inspired me to enjoy the 'everyday moments' that so many take for granted. I have thought about commenting many times, but never had...UNTIL I saw that you got to go to IKEA AND only spent $11.00! I am VERY impressed at your willpower. I know that there is NO WAY I could make it out of there for under $50. (at least)

I tend to find things I 'need' there...that I never even realized existed, let alone how much better my life could be if only I had them!;-)

Good for you and the showing of strength!

I totally understand how tired you feel. I have the exact same problem. I love, love, love summer but I am starting to get worn down. We have played and played. We have stayed up late, late, late and it is starting to wear thin. I have a 14 year old who thinks she is big so it is hard to get everyone else to go to bed. The 2 year old is starting to feel the drain as well.
I hope that you can enjoy a bit of quiet while you are on vacation. Perhaps slip away from the kids into the yard or farther away. Just to be alone for a minute.

I enjoy your thoughts. You always brighten my day.

I love IKEA but haven't been there in years. Your mom is so young looking and beautiful in that pic. Glad you are having tons of fun.

Yea I felt that way too about a month ago and then we came home and I misses all the running. One good thing though is you get to scrap all your pics when you get home !
