Today..."A" is for Aly.

Happy Birthday, Aly...'Nitty.Gritty. style'! Don't you just love that top photo of us?! It's one of my favorites. Not because you can't see our heads =), but because I remember laughing together when we 'clicked back' to see it on the camera screen. That's the most important thing I think I can tell you as you kick off this year in your life of being 11...remember to laugh and have fun- even if things don't turn out perfect or go the way you wish they would sometimes.
You are so smart, that you probably knew that already, huh?! That's okay. We all need to remind ourselves to have fun everyday, and I hope you have a really FUN day today especially!
We all had so many laughs and good times with you when we were in Minnesota the other week. Thanks for hanging out with us, helping us make homemade icecream, racing in the hallways, having a sleepover, drinking coffee coolers, and all the other little things we got to do together. They were fun because we got to do them with YOU! =)
I wish we lived closer- and so does Brock, but I'm glad we make the most of the time we have when we do get to see each other. You're awesome...you have such a big heart, a free spirit, a great sense of humor, a growing love for scrapping and photography {a girl after my own heart!} and a lot to look forward to as you live and learn each day. Here's wishing you a Happy, happy birthday, and a lot of love from me and the rest of the lurkers on this blog. =)

Thanks for the Nitty.Gritty birthday blog entry for Aly, Jody! I'm sure she'll enjoy seeing the photos and remembering the fun times (when she finally wakes up- I'm letting her sleep in today:) Happy Birthday, Aly! You are the sunshine of my life, and a precious gift from heaven! I am so proud to be your Mom and I love you more than all the stars in the sky! Love, Mom

Happy Birthday Aly!! I hope it's a fabulous day!

And Jody - just wanted to let you know, I had my own 'husband moment' last night. I'm sure it would have hit me without reading your blog, but maybe not - so thank you for planting some seed in my brain that decided to sprout last night and make me realize yet another reason why I love my husband so much!
