Intense.

For not quite yet three years old, Ava has developed a sudden interest in cheerleading. It's so cute to watch her study the positions and moves that she copies as she watches a DVD. With the SuperBowl game just around the corner, I'm sure she'll be ready. She's a natural. Not just the moves, but the loud voice too! =)
As for myself and being intense about something, well, I guess you could say diet. Not that I'm on a strict diet or losing weight for a New Year's resolution or anything like that. No, I am intense because I saw a portion of the movie "Super Size Me" last night. Have any of you watched this? It's been out for a few years (that's how 'out of it' I am) but it's airing on one of our satellite stations, so I saw a bit of it. Enough to be disgusted and humored all at the same time. I love that in a movie...
Anyway, let's just say that I won't be eating any McNuggets or Big Macs for at least a week. That's when my kids will start begging for the new toys or humming, "Buh, buh, buh, buh, buh...I'm lovin' it," as we drive past the golden arches.
Okay. I have to go hug my hubby now. He just came in from snowblowing the driveway. I LOVE that man! I am so pleased that the snow dumped on us here in Michigan just after he came home from Florida. See? Sometimes life really DOES go my way. =)

I was watching the news tonight and saw that GH got tons of snow today. :) Sounds like fun. I just got a little bit over here. I'm glad that your hubby was home to snowblow that driveway.

Jody,
If SuperSize Me freaked you out, you should read Fast Food Nation. I read it right after I saw that movie. It was major eye-opening. Then, in sheer coincidence, I read UltraMetabolism, and that did it. Now we are trans fat free, all organic, no high fructose corn syrup, and no preservatives. And my kids love Trader Joe's shopping, so it's all good. And I feel better knowing I'm not filling them up with scary chemicals.
Anyway, loved the Valentines. I gotta try that. Saw your layout in Creating Keepsakes this months Top 10 issue. Way to go!

Hi I saw your comment on Lea Lawson's blog - the smiley girl who makes the amazing patterned things and cards. Those cards of yours are pretty nice too. I just wanted to say I love your "domesticated" blog - I like to see civilized people's lives sometimes. (Mine is a bit of a mess. That's what I blog about. I'm afraid ...) But ho-hum. Your life looks really busy. I bet you barely get a moment's rest...

One thing I might add (maybe you'll think this bizarre) but cheerleeding does seem a pretty bizarre thing to do for us here on the other side of the pond. I think they have various sorts of pre-match entertainment at (soccer) football matches nowadays, but cheerleading is not traditional in Great Britain. It just looks crazy, all those silly chants and pompom things. It IS cute when little toddlers do it ...
