Family, fun, food...Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving! Wishing you and those you are sharing this day with a very special time together. I hope you have much to be thankful for today and everyday. Just for the fun of it...tell me what your favorite food was that you ate today. For some reason I think there could be a lot of 'pumkin pie' in the comments.
I've yet to eat the traditional Thanksgiving day feast...but will say that I enjoyed some really big raspberries in a cream cheese fruit dip. Delicious! And even a little bit healthy. =) Enjoy the rest of your day!

I enjoyed my Thanksgiving feast (with my colleagues)a few hours before those of you in W. Michigan - and my favorite food was definitely the french silk pie made by my teammate Kathy. Yum, yum! Definitely not the scrawny turkey that I made...but at least it was turkey (apparently the last one in town!).

Jody, I found your blog yesterday. I couldn't stop thinking about the Kaat family ever since then. I visited Jaymun's website & even e-mailed Jennifer. I came back to your blog today to thank you.

Thank you so much for sharing Jaymun's story. You have no idea how it affected me.

God Bless you & your family.

no pumpkin pie here - ick. My sentimental favorite today was garlicky cranberry chutney (annual tradition for me & DH); my 'new taste' favorite was the apple-squash-cheese casserole that our hostess made as a protein dish for the vegetarians in the crowd.

We heat it on the stove, in a pan of gravy, and fry up the mashed potatoes to make pancakes and it is soooo yummy!!!! Happy thanksgiving jody!!

Hiya Jody~
My favorite dish was the Pumpkin Crunch Cake I made for the first time. The pumpkin is on the bottom, then a cake mix, then a layer of pecans and melted butter! mmmmmmmmmm First time I have made it and probably won't be the last! I wish I didn't have such a sweet tooth and could say that the cranberries or carrot salad would've been my favorite though! =)

IN my family, we usually have turkey and tamales. My husband is Mexican/Argentinan. I have come to love the tamales as much as the turkey.

We always make hot sauce from jalopenos and tomatoes.

Love to all!
