More cards and crafts...

I was able to make some more cards over the weekend and that makes me happy. The more cards I can make, the more I can put in the mail! I was flattered and humbled that the designer of the paper line I've been using actually called me and posted pictures of my cards on her blog. Thank you, Brenda Walton~ it's been a pleasure to use your designs!
I took a little break from cards and tried my hand at pom-pom flowers. I got the idea from this tutorial/blogpost. Aren't they simply adorable? They remind me of little puffs of snow. I think I may have to host another giveaway and send one or two of you reading this a card and flower too. You know. Just because I need to add things to my Christmas list right now! Wait. On second thought, I think a random giveaway sounds like a nice thing to host in the New Year. I do have thoughts in my head for a blogpost about the holidays not being so merry. Hopefully I'll get those thoughts down here before the end of the week. Then my kiddos are on Christmas break and I doubt I'll get much thinking done then!
P.S. Do you have a favorite cookie recipe? I'm making some for a class party. I just haven't decided what kind yet.

Wish I was as motivated as you at this time of the year. I love to scrapbook, but don't find the time to do it around the holidays. Happy crafting!

With love and hope,

A favorite lately is the Rolo chocolate placed in the middle of a circle pretzel. Melt in microwave for 10-15 seconds take out and squish an M&M top. Let cool and eat. Unwrapping all the Rolos keeps hands busy. Major party pleaser.

Hi, Jody,
Great to see the kids do their parts in the program last night. An angel ho-down--that was cute.

Hey, I imagine you get hundreds of requests like this, but a former student of mine is going through a family crisis with their five-year-old who is in the middle of a hard fight with a partially removed brain tumor. You may have seen the story on Dr. Phil a couple weeks ago.

There is a video clip and links posted at Patterns of Ink.

If you (and perhaps some of your readers) could take a moment in this busy season catch up on that story and write Holly and her husband a brief note of encouragement at the prayer page, I would really appreciate it. Feel free to tell her how we know each other since it is very similar to how I know her family. (Holly and her two sisters were students of mine back in the 90's.)

Nitty Gritty is such a wonderful ministry. Always a pleasure to see what's cookin' or gluein' here.
