He's taken over...

Four weeks ago at this point in time I was having a discussion with Chip between contractions and replays of tee shots from the Ryder Cup, about whether or not I should get an epidural. [I did.] But more than that I had no idea how much I would be grateful to have Chip in my life. He has taken over so much of my 'duties' around the home and with our family this past month, that I feel a simple thank you wouldn't be enough.
So I am going public today and saying, Thank You, Chip for being an amazing husband, dad and tolerator of me for the past month and beyond. I really DO appreciate everything you do. Even though I am operating around 60% and so I forget to thank you 40% or more of the time. Please forgive me and just know that I love having you in my life- every minute of every day. Especially those moments that you let me lay on the couch with Crew sleeping in my arms and you head downstairs to throw the laundry into the dryer. Or when you pick up Wyndham from therapy and then grab some take-out for the kids for dinner so I can still keep laying on the couch. =)
You make my life better.
So do you, Crew.
And Ava and Bella and Wyndham and Brock.
And you too, Teagan, because of you I want to be the best for all your siblings.
The past four weeks have been transition and adjustment time for all of us.
I wouldn't want it any other way.
Love, Mom

With the title I assumed you meant the baby had taken over you lives.

Which I guess is still true, but I'm so happy that you have the kind of partner in life who jumps into the hole with you and loves you on your way back to the surface.

Thanks for the pics... my dog is getting more snuggles right now to compensate for not getting to hold that beautiful baby! ;)

Jodi,
I came across your blog by reading the comment you had left on the blog "Bring the Rain", and for some reason I was just drawn in. What a neat and inspirational person you are. I honestly believe things do happend for a reason. I believe that Christ is in charge of our lives and I believe that he only gives us things we can handle. That is where I become nervous. I have to admit my life has been pretty mellow. Don't get me wrong...and I am not complaining by any means I love my mellow, simple life I just keep wondering what does HE have instore for me? With saying that I really think that is why I am inspired by your blog and a few others...so I can become closer to Christ. Thank you for letting me read about your life and your family. I pray that God continues to Bless you and inspire you.
