One of the best things about kindergarten is...

she got to have a 'pretend birthday' in class today. Due to a July birthday, we chose a random day to celebrate and that happened to be today.
I love the idea of celebrating something out of 'nothing'. Making it a special day just because...and the house smelled so wonderful with cupcakes and zucchini bread baking at 8 am in our kitchen.
Go ahead and try it for yourself. Even if you're not in kindergarten. Celebrate something- anything today.
Just because.
Also, if you are following my growing belly, here are the latest pics of baby and me.

You and one other blog I read always talks about baking and it makes my mouth water! I'd love to do some....BUT I'm border-line diabetic and if I have anything sugar (all the "whites" in fact) it spikes my blood sugar. Pooh!!!!
Would love to try some recipes....
But I'll read yours (and hers) and just "imagine"!!
Your idea of an "un-birthday" is precious!

Thanks for keeping it real.
I've read your blog in a sporadic way for the past several months.
You have been a great encouragement to me.
Thanks for sharing.

Love celebrating just because!
And I was catching up on your blog a bit and saddened that anyone would call your blog a downer or say you complain?
I find it far from.....you are so inspiring to me and uplifting. You share your amazing faith and how it takes you through life.
That's definately a good thing.
THank you and God bless!

My birthday is July 28 and I will be 16! I have always celebrated my birthday in May too as my un-birthday, so my friends could celebrate with me! This year my mom, boy-friend, best friend and a person who is like my 2nd mom threw me a surprise party at my favorite restaurant! It was lovely! I love my July birthday, as I'm sure your daughter does too! I wouldn't trade it for the world!
