Influences...

It is no secret that I am influenced more by packing when I make purchases than almost anything else {except price!}. I was so happy when my latest Starbuck' s beans came packaged in such a cute bag. It came with a mini card attached too- telling how to make iced coffee. But for me it is just a bonus 'scrap embellishment'. =)
The rest of the pictures are just snapshots from some little projects I'm working on right now. I just liked that I noticed such a trend in the colors and brightness of all the stuff laying around my space right now. Fun, bold colors and playful. There's that little owl again. It's still a work-in-progress, but for sure it's now a 'she' and I'm still thinking of stitching around her and maybe I'll add something to the heart she's holding.
I'm getting very excited and swamped with stuff do to before I head out to CHA Chicago in less than a week!! I am so ready for a 'scrap immersion vacation'. The thought makes me very happy. I'll be meeting lots of people I've known only online so far. If you're one of them...make sure you grab me and say hello.
So, tell me...just for fun. What is influencing you in a positive way these days? I'd love to know! =)

"What is influencing you in a positive way these days?"

One word: you. Thank you.

And those are my FAVORITE beans. I'm going to have to be on the lookout for some!

God's grace. The conviction of the Holy Spirit, opening my eyes to things He'd like to work on in my heart. Some exceptional books, written by some spectacular Christian authors.

Dear friends who show unwavering faith in the hardest of times...our young pastor (mid-30s) just found out he has a brain tumor, and they await results of the biopsy, but have been told already it does not look good. They have three young boys. Your prayers for them would be appreciated! ~Jodie

My health....I've been making dietary and exercise changes so I can have a better 'well-being'.

I will pray for the pastor mentioned as well.

God's influence on my life and of those around me. My friend just began chemo this week for hre breast cancer that has shown to be very aggressive. She is STRONG, FAITHFUL, and DEPENDENT upon HIM to guide her through this. She amazes me. God amazes me with what He gives us.
On a lighter note...
Oh, I can easily say my health too! DH and I have been on a rockin' diet/exercise program for almost 2 weeks now..I feel SO good! And DH ain't lookin' too shabby either!

Let's see, my relationship with my husband has been growing and I love the fact that I love talking to him even though we know almost EVERY one of each other's stories, that's been a positive influence lately (oh, and I owe that whole happy marriage thing to God:)

Just got back from a mission trip to Honduras and right now I'm being influenced by just how many blessings I have and how much I take them for granted... seemed very nitty.gritty.ish to me :)
Thank you Lord for clean water, hot water, and automatic washing machines!

My neighbors across the street practically LIVE in their gazebo. They even got married in it. Well, the both work for Caribou Coffee, so I thought it was funny that Starbucks came out with a Gazebo Blend. I had to show them and tease them about it! Haha. You are right, the packaging is great. I fall for it too!

What has been a positive influence lately? Good friends to take walks with, including my puppy haha. Vacation time with family! Turning the TV off and reading books.

I get alot of positive influences through blogs, believe it or not :) I try to read inspirational blogs in the mornings to get my thoughts going... (hopefully after a devotion). I also would say I get very moved lately by music. I listen to a lot of worship music that praises God through circumstances, et cetera. He has a mighty plan and I feel blessed he chose me to have the life I do :)

Lately it's been prayer and reading books I normally would have passed off as boring. I'm maturing and loving my 30's. My son influences me to get off my rear end and do things! My husband influences me to be the best person I can be. You influence me to have more Faith and be more forgiving. My scrapbooking influences me to be more creative and reach further for that next great creation. Music inspires me...Natalie grant is wonderful. Many more things...

Jody, I am loving your cute owls! Do you make them yourself, or do you buy them from somewhere? The school mascot where I teach is the owl, so I have a soft spot for them.

BTW, the thing that is inspiring me the most these days is seeing the wonderful creativity of other scrappers.
