God still speaks...

God has been speaking to me this week. I just have to tell you that it still amazes me that when I have doubts and questions or just don't feel like I know what/where I am supposed to go/do next, that when I keep asking and have an open heart, that God always provides answers and opportunities. It humbles me, that God- in the midst of seeing all that's going on in this world- still listens to the small prayers of those of us who yearn to be used by Him in whatever way He chooses.
I was not disappointed again, with the ways that God showed up in my life this week. Many of you sent emails and I thank you for your encouragement and ideas on serving and sacrifice. Just yesterday I listened to a great message last night while surfing the net (5/27/2007 sermon-..."Doing the teachings..."). Anyone who questions their faith of wonders what God is supposed to be about in your life, this message is for you. You can listen to it online or download a podcast... whatever works best for you. But I promise you, you want to hear the truth and the call for your life in this message. It was a great reminder and convicting to me at the same time.
Then, this morning, I was catching up on some reading, and this was the message I came upon. See? God is always there for us...we just have to be looking and listening for Him at all times. I love that He never lets me down. No matter how big or small my problems/concerns may be. I hope that some of you who question your faith and God in this life will see in your own life that He is who He claims to be.
There is nothing greater than having assurance of faith. It makes all the difference in life...no matter where our paths may take us.
I hope these links prove to be a good resource for some of you on your own journey of faith! As always, please feel free to email me with questions or comments that you have...I appreciate that we can grow/question together! {nitty.grittyjody@yahoo.com }

Edited to add:
I came across this amazing story...which could have easily ended one of two ways. Thankfully, and to the atsonishment of all those touched by this little girl, it had a happy ending. Just wanted to share it here...some people believe God still does miracles. I happen to be one of them. =)

This is what I remember best about religion classes...

There might be fairies
There might be elves
But God helps those
That help themselves

Perhaps you can make heads or tails of it for me!

One thing you forgot to say, I think...is to be sure you are ready for the answer(s) that you receive.

I think I will blog about this tomorrow. Thanks for another topic.:)

I also believe that God performs miracles every day - we just may not be aware of or open to them...
If anyone is interested in another miracle read, go to http://torchone.blogspot.com and read "Divine Community" and "What is a life worth" for a two part amazing God story...
