Color inspiration~

I have been moving my scrap space to an upstairs bonus room this last week. It's bright up there, and my kids spend a lot of time hanging out there...especially in the morning and evening, so I thought I'd be more apt to make stuff if we all hung out together.
Bella has claimed the spot under my desktop. Silly girl.
When I looked around I noticed a lot of color...similar colors. Pinks, aqua, red, yellow...so I thought I'd snap a few pictures and share them with some of my scrap-blog readers here. You know...sort of like a 'behind-the-scenes' shot of me.
The top pic is my laptop screen...some cute owl/cupcake little characters that I spotted somewhere online...and now I can't find the link back to them. At least I saved a pic of them when I had my one chance. =)
Then there's my real desktop. It's actually our former kitchen table. I keep thinking I want to paint the table top or the legs. I just can't settle on a color. =)
That's Bella under the desk. Next you see a little 'pencil cup'...it's actually a 'rare altered item' that I made using a Crystal Light container. Just call me Donna Downey. =)
The last picture shows you some of my jars of goodies. Including Hershey's truffle kisses. Every creative nook needs some good inspiration. For me that includes a jar of dark chocolates. I love that my kids like to dip their foods in Honey Mustard and Ranch dressing...and Chip and I love Lite French and Bleu Cheese on salads. The empty jars are perfect storage for some of my odds and ends. And Dove Chocolates too! =)
Happy Saturday. Enjoy the colors all around you today!

Very cute things! What is the adorable pink bag next to the pencil cup?

I loooove the owl/cupcake thingies, and Bella is so cute (as are all of your kids). I have to say, the "vintage" 7-Up bottle is pretty neat-o. I always notice a trend in colors laying around my desk too and it gives me a little rush inside (simple pleasures, right?) I am going to have to swipe the jar idea (I was going to go lay down cash on making memories jars, but this is way more cost effective:)

nice space jody! I am so happy, I totally redid my 'office'/scrapbook space, it's so neat and I set up my stuff so nicely, if i don't say so myself, lol, it just makes me so happy for it to be finally all neat and orderly (since I moved, it's all been scattered, but it's finally un-scattered!) nice to see your space, hugs to you!

Love the idea of painting your table!!! How about painting the legs each a different color and the top a contrasting one??? Might be really cute...and would fit your flair for color and kitsch!

i was totally going to suggest painting all the legs diff colors, but anonymous has already mentioned that, so i second that thought!!
:)

thanks for the peek into your scrappy space!!

too funny ~ me too. pick your favorite bright colors and each leg gets a different color with a fab color on the top that works as a great background.

Hey Jody :) Thanks for sharing pics of your scrap spot. Isn't it fun to have creative things all around? I'm excited to have an official scrap spot, well hopefully it will work out, when we move from our current house to wherever we end up next. Right now I have a little temporary spot in my basement by my tv, and it works fine. I loved the cupcake pictures. And thank you too for the link to the Purpose Driven Life article...that was so good. I hope you have a lovely day. :)

love the scrap space - it's great!! I love the bottles and the crystal lite cup holder. I have three of these in my pantry right now and as soon as one is empty, I'll be making something cute too! Thank you - as always - for inspiring me!!
