Exactly what I have thought but never quite put into words...

Came across this really great quote that I just had to share here.
By C.S. Lewis...
"If we discover a desire within us that nothing in this world can satisfy, we should begin to wonder if perhaps we were created for another world."
Think about that for a bit.

I soooo get that!
Such a great quote!
My husband just did a message on this very topic... the fact that we are aliens and strangers on this planet... this is not our home... but we still find ourselves working so hard to make ourselves comfortable... to fit in... to have it all...

Wow! I'm a CS. Lewis fan and have never read this. I'm going to cut and paste it.
Been very busy for a few weeks. I missed the fact that you guys were on TV. I'll try to watch in February.

In keeping with your topic today I highly recommend Philip Yancey's "Rumors of Another World". It is very much in line with Lewis' quote, and a book that answered a good number of questions I had. A very good read.

What a powerful quote.....I have read lots of C.S. Lewis but had forgotten this one. I also wanted to let you know that your blog, in part, has been an influence in encouraging me to start my own blog. I'd love you to stop by and take a look at http:\\www.halfbakedandfireflyfree.com. I hope all is well in the gorgeous West Michigan Lakeshore. Are you still involved in MOPS there? Do you still attend the church? We are part of a great church-plant here--Compass Church--(that Dennis and Gwen actually helped us connect to) but miss them and the congregation so, so much. I enjoy keeping up with you and your family through Nitty.Gritty. We should scrap together sometime!

Blessings,
Nicole McDonald (we connected through MOPS a couple of years back)
