America- Land of the Free & the Brave...

I am very patriotic in my beliefs; I should probably have a flag flying on my property- but I don't. I do, however, appreciate all the people, past and present who have sacrificed so much in their lives and families, so that people like me can enjoy life every single day. I salute American Heroes from my blog today. Thanks for the privilege I have of raising my kids and loving my simple life in the comfort of a protected home and country. Happy Fourth of July. Here are a bunch of pictures from our day...from the local parade, the Pronto Pup stand down by Lake Michigan, Almond Joy sundaes at the Dairy Treat (Thanks, Goldmans!!), and of course, a family picture. We shared our last family picture with Teagan on this day- so it has become tradition to snap a new photo each year. One of these years we'll all be looking at the camera at the same time. Til then...

Happy 4th to you and yours Jody! From an online stranger-friend. I find myself thinking of you often as the anniversary of your *life altering moment* draws near. I hope you know, and believe you do, that you are not alone in this great big world. You have the support and care of those who know you only thru your blog. We know so much about you, and you so little about us. Thanks for sharing your life with us! dede
