ABOUT THIS BLOG-
You have stumbled upon a link to the daily musings of my crazy life. I say crazy because things happen to me that probably don't happen to you that often- or even ever. I will write candidly about these events in hopes to learn from them, teach you about them, or just to document that they actually happened. It could be anything...but I promise to keep it real!

17 weeks, 5 days.
If you've got an answer to this perplexing question, I'd love to hear it... hmmmm. I'm wondering why 10 pounds can feel so big and heavy when I carry it in the form of a growing baby inside me, but when I carry a piece of 10-pound luggage at the airport it feels as if I'm hardly carrying a thing? Just my thoughts for today.
Well the piece of luggage does not rest on your bladder and start to push around on other internal organs ;) Many CONGRATS to you Jodi! You look too darn cute!!!
Try carrying that luggage all day long..bathing with it, sleeping with it, climbing stairs with it, tying your shoes with it, you get the point:) There's your answer..
And then, when you're up to a 35 pound gain before birth, it actually seemed easier to carry than the newborn in that lovely handled carseat! No logic!! You look beautiful Jody!
Jody....you look so beautiful!!! Not that you don't everyday...but for some reason you just look especially beautiful in that photo!! And I have never been pregnant....so I have no answer to your question! Tee hee!
Hope you are having a good weekend so far. I am doing a little RAK on my blog....so stop by and check it out if you want to!
Dear Anonymous~ I DO know the answer to my own question. I was just throwing it out there...having a little fun with my weight gain/pregnancy. Life is too short to always see the negative in everything. I've learned that lesson well. Thanks for reading my blog.
Too cute! You look great! Praise the Lord that you and your baby are healthy! Love hearing updates about your family and love listening to your playlist = )
Sorry, Jody ~ I was just trying to have a little fun with your question ~ hence the Hmmmmmm! I guess that was a bit difficult to decipher in writing. :o
I LOVE your blog and really I meant no offense. You look great!
I have a similar question: Why is it that when a person--say me for instance--thinks it should be no problem to lose 15-20 lbs--it suddenly seems like a huge task when you pick up a 20 lb turkey. =)
I hate to change the subject but do you remember a while back when I told you my daughter also like Hannah Montana, but that I was wondering if someone was trying to "trash up" her image (ala every other young girl "star") based on a recent stage performance? Well, here's more proof that someone is determined not to let this wholesome 15-year-old remain so:
I really do think that women were not really "made" to have children. If they were, they would grow inside a detachable backpack/front pack that you could remove when you needed to rest...or when you needed to sleep...or tie your shoes....or go to the loo. And when the baby was ready to enter the world, the pack could be unzipped and hey presto!
I don't have an answer to your question, but yes, I agree, you are TOO cute! :) My daughter loved the post - she has that same comforter on her bed!! :)

Who would do that to a young lady?
Maybe cos you dont have to carry luggage around for 9 months... lol!
ReplyDeleteyou can put the luggage down when you reach the counter, you don't take it to bed with you, or have it taking up room when you are eating!
ReplyDeleteAnd let me just say, I could gain 10 pounds in one week. How is it that you have only gained 10 pounds!?! You are ADORABLE!!!!
