I made it into a scrapbook page and slipped it into the front of the viewbinder that I use as a family calendar.
It helps me stay focused and grounded. It helps me decide what to do next. It guides me to do what is important and not just urgent.
The quote is:
You can use your TIME any way you want... but you can only use it ONCE"

Whisper it. Yell it. Say it with drama. No matter how I say it, it speaks volumes to me.pinkcamojeephttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02474947691687239793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18733763.post-46171054019678934232007-10-05T15:32:00.000-04:002007-10-05T15:32:00.000-04:00'wherever you go- there you are'.'wherever you go- there you are'.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18733763.post-83078698761984002752007-10-05T12:55:00.000-04:002007-10-05T12:55:00.000-04:00One of my favorites: “The aim of life is to live, ...One of my favorites: “The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware.” Henry Miller (American writer). I love this quote because it reminds me to live consciously & notice little moments or truly be in the moment(not rushing through the days in a blur blindly). It also makes me feel calm somehow. I think by drunkenly, he doesn't mean the liquor-type of drunk! But, rather, drunk on love, life, etc. Miller has a few other good ones:
“It's good to be just plain happy, it's a little better to know that you're happy; but to understand that you're happy and to know why and how and still be happy, be happy in the being and the knowing, well that is beyond happiness, that is bliss.”
“If there is to be any peace, it will come through being, not having”
“The moment one gives close attention to any thing, even a blade of grass it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself.”
“The only thing we never get enough of is love; and the only thing we never give enough of is love”Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18733763.post-29865105671212931912007-10-04T14:33:00.000-04:002007-10-04T14:33:00.000-04:00Our pastor used the following quote in a sermon re...Our pastor used the following quote in a sermon recently and it has stuck to my heart...

"I am a pencil in the hand of a writing God sending a love letter to the world." - Mother TeresaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18733763.post-5580740451321516512007-10-04T13:12:00.000-04:002007-10-04T13:12:00.000-04:00I saw this one and I cant remember who it is by bu...I saw this one and I cant remember who it is by but it spoke to me too...

"God promises forgivness for sins, not tomorrow for your procrastination."

or something similar.Tomiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16984062701118492315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18733763.post-74540213970505139102007-10-04T12:50:00.000-04:002007-10-04T12:50:00.000-04:00how come chocolate reddiwhip wasn't a choice :)?how come chocolate reddiwhip wasn't a choice :)?Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02254911692448682386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18733763.post-14088119931549631372007-10-04T12:00:00.000-04:002007-10-04T12:00:00.000-04:00of course...right after I posted, I thought of a g...of course...right after I posted, I thought of a great verse that has always been an inspiration to me...quoting the Bible :)

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. I just read this one in a book called "The Solace of Leaving Early" by Haven Kimmel (such a good author) and while it might not resonate with everyone, I thought it was great:

"It is the nature of the world that we miss the moment our fate changes, but can recall it later with perfect clarity."

(not to wax poetic, but I think this can be a commentary about how we just live, we don't pay attention to the moments)

And another one that I like (that's not too serious) is by Rita Rudner:

"I love being married, it's so nice to find that one special person you can annoy for the rest of your life."Sonjahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17688290411810677010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18733763.post-56639784919495076662007-10-03T09:56:00.000-04:002007-10-03T09:56:00.000-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Sonjahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17688290411810677010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18733763.post-61400230900339712152007-10-03T09:28:00.000-04:002007-10-03T09:28:00.000-04:00In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity. So many people today portray Jesus as weak, the out-of-date artifact hanging on a church wall or in a stained-glass window hoping for a brighter day. But Jesus was the non-conformist of all time.
