Today was a great day for Buttercream icing.






She's pink and sweet and ruffly and soft and festive and happy almost all the time. We're so lucky to have had her in our lives for 7 years now. Happy Birthday to our little Ava. She's added so much joy to our hearts and lives. I hope I get to make her birthday cakes for many more years too. =)

    Is this entirely made out of butter cream frosting? I would *love* to know how you made it - either way!

    Happy 7th Birthday to Ava!! (BTW, I love the name Ava!! If I had a little girl I would so name her that. :)

    Thanks for the comments, ladies. Kathy, the cake is a yellow cake underneath all that pink buttercream. You can find the recipe for the frosting if you click the 'recipes' link on the sidebar of the blog. It's a favorite around here! =)
