Today is one of those days.
Tough.
The questions flow freely.
Faith seems harder to hold onto and even more difficult to understand.
Justice and injustice is a concept that doesn't make sense in our head or hearts.
I invite you to pray for our family if you are inclined to do so.
After Wyndham met with a specialist today, it is clear that our family has some major decisions and events to live through in the coming weeks and months.
It goes without saying, that the ramifications of our tragedy are not over.
My heart is heavy and yet at the same time I KNOW that God is in control.
His love and mercies never change.
But still, some days are more tough than others.
I claim these words today and pray for peace in our lives...
Psalm 118:13-15 "I was pushed back and about to fall but the Lord helped me. The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: "The Lord's right hand has done mighty things".
I'm so sorry, Jody, and will be praying for you, Wyndham, and your family.

Jesus, come, breath peace into the heart of this mama. Freely give wisdom to the leader of her home, freely give wisdom to her as she walks this road of uncertainty. Over flow their home with peace, patience, kindness and love. Give her rest as she ends each day, allow her mind to be quiet and her heart to be still. Bless her Jesus. Bless her beyond measure. You are good, even in the hard times, you are good. Trusting in you, Amen…

"Then your light shall break forth speedily,
And your righteousness shall go before you;
The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard."
Isaiah 58:8
The Lord will guide you continually,
and satisfy your soul in drought,
and strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail."
Isaiah 58:11
The Lord just whispered to me and I had to write to you again because he said you needed to hear this.
ReplyDeleteEven when you don't understand the Lord's hand, trust His heart.
Jeremiah 29:11

I will be praying for you all, and Isaiah 43:1-3 comes to mind....
ReplyDeleteBut now, this is what the Lord says - he who created you O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "fear not, for I have summoned you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze, For I am the Lord your God."
God bless you in ways that only He can. Amen.
My heart hurts for you all and I will keep you in prayer.
Jody, I'm another lurker. You have truly encouraged me through your blog and our circumstances couldn't be any more different. You just touch people. My prayer for you today is for wisdom for the doctors as well as you and Chip, peace for your family, and the comfort that only the Father's arms can give. I will be lifting you all up in prayer.
ReplyDeleteI just want you to know that your strengh has given me strengh. I love your blog!! I have been praying for your family ever since I been reading it over 1 year ago. I know that God only gives you what you can handle. He will give you peace in whatever decision you have to make. I have had to make decisions that have already forever changed my daughters life, even though she has not even been born yet. He is God Almighty!! I trust him completely. Praise Him!! Praying for your family everyday.
ReplyDeletePrayers for you Wyndham and your family.
ReplyDeleteJody, I will pray for you and your family! Just came from my Bible study--Beth Moore's "Believing God" and today we learned that the words from our mouth have power!! The Rhema God is from the spirit which we can believe, and pray!
ReplyDelete"Lord, I pray that You would bring your perfect peace to this situation. That you would encourage Jody and Chip and intervene in this situation! I don't know them personally but God, you know them intimately and in Eternity Past you knew that what they were going to endure was going to happen. This isn't or wasn't a surprise to you! We don't know Your purpose in "any" of this...the accident, the death of a dear little one or what has happened to Wyndham. Lord I just ask that you would surround this dear family with fellow believers who will lift them up. They love you Lord (as I do) and I just pray Your best for them! My words seem powerless, but You have THE power to breath into them what I don't have words for. Thank you Lord for how you are working ALL of these things out and in the end I pray that YOU would be glorified! I thank you Lord and in Your Son's Name I pray...." Amen
WSL
