Want to win a mini book?

I am so excited about all the colors and fun trims/fabrics in the next SIStv Collection called "The Social Butterfly". Don't the colors just make you happy?! I "stole" a layout made by one of my Fashionista friends, {Hi, Lucy!! Check out her awesome pages here!} just to show you a better example of how great this scrap collection truly is. Lucy has got so much talent and I am always smitten by her talent and designs. So fun!
The collection actually goes on sale on Monday, Sept. 15th, and I love being on the SIS Design Team because that meant I got mine early in order to have a chance to play around with it. I made the little mini album you see in the top two photos {the rest you can see by clicking here} and just for fun and to spread some more love, I want to give it to one of you! All you have to do for a chance at winning this blank book {and a few other scrap items that I will throw in the package as well} is leave me a comment on this post between now and Tuesday morning (I will do a random number draw that morning). Since the fall colors are just around the corner for many of us, in your comment, leave me your name, city and then tell me what your favorite fall dessert is. I love the changing season and all the produce and good food that comes from the bounty of this time of year. There's just something special about crisp apples, orange pumpkins and the cooler fall air. So that's it... leave me a note here and good luck!

My favorite dessert is by far my mom's rhubarb pie... and fall is the last call for it. My mom grows her own rhubarb and for some reason, after it is frozen, the flavor just isn't the same.

The best part about it is that at 78, she still shares the process with me like I am 7. Even though I know how to make the pie, she insists on sharing with me how to do it... every time. I let her. Someday, I will have to be the one making it by myself and then I will be glad for all those lessons. She is an amazing person and I cherish these times with her. :)

Hope you are doing well. :) Hope the baby isn't keeping you up at night.

  18. I would love your mini book! Do I have to pick just one favorite fall dessert? I do make awesome pumpkin bars or so my husband says. Today we are heading to Aamodt's apple orchard in Stillwater, MN to see what's in season and I'll make some sort of creation out of whatever we pick up, and a gallon of apple cider too - love to heat that up on the stove with some spices and let the aroma fill up the house :)

But being pregnant too, this crisp weather is getting me in the mood for lots of my favorite comfort foods - Cafe Latte's chicken salsa chili...ooh la la (you're a girl from the cities too, you know what I mean.)

Hi Jody. Those are cute. Love the bright colors as well. I would put my Grandbaby's picture in one of those books.
I think I really need to start some Scrap Booking. Your getting me hooked.:)
My favorite fall desert is *Tire Patch Pie.* I know sounds very weird. My Husband is such a great guy when I was really ill about 10 yrs ago. The kids wanted apple pie. I didn't have the strength or energy to make it . So my Husband tried his hand at it.
The best apple pie I ever had, But it looked like a truck took off on the top of it where he pieced the dough together. So the kids coined it as *Dad's Tire Patch Pie* and it stuck all these years. He still makes a mean apple pie, then adds french vanilla ice with carmel sauce and crushed almond strusel topping it off..MMMM!! I can close my eyes now and just smell it baking. When warm its the best pie ever. Think that's cause it was made with the love for all of us.
    Hope your feeling okay.

  105. Hi!I love the mini book! You're right about fall colors and yummy fall foods and treats. Fall has always been my favorite time of year. My name is Cristina I live in Keller Texas. My favorite fall dessert is pecan pie. When I was little my parents used to drive us out to the lake. There were so many pecan trees. We'd spend the afternoon picking up pecans. Then we'd shell 'em and freeze 'em. Mom would keep just enough out to chop and throw into a pecan pie. It was her way of treating us for our '' hard work '' Fond memories accompany my love for pecan pie

The mini book you are giving away is just adorable! :) Thanks for being so sweet and generous at a time when so many others would be only thinking of themselves and their family. God bless you as your littlest one arrives.

Jody, you inspire me and speak to my heart on so many levels. Thank you for that.
